Individualised Dynamic Support Mechanisms

This module aims to develop the students’ understanding of the concepts of person-centeredness and what that means for the care and support process. Related topics of education across the lifespan and the impact of risk, its acceptance, its avoidance and its management are topics that counterpoint and illuminate the emphasis on person-centeredness. It also aims to look into the work of the nurse and the service milieu in which that work takes place and examine how both may be harnessed to support the continual development of nursing care that is person-centred. Lastly in this module the student is encouraged to consider the content that is offered, analyse and critique the topics that are discussed and continue to develop his or her reflective learning abilities.
