What are the opening hours?

Monday - Thursday: 9.00am - 5.30pm
Friday: 9.00am - 5.00pm

If I am unwell and unable to attend lectures, who should I give my medical certificate to?

Should you be absent for medical reasons please provide a copy of your medical certificate to both your course Executive Officer and your College Tutor. Please submit your medical certificate within 3 days of the missed period.

What if I don’t finish all four years of the programme? Or How to I apply for an Ordinary B.A.?

If you have successfully completed 3 years of the programme you are eligible to receive the award of Ordinary B.A.
In order to receive the award of Ordinary B.A you must apply via your College Tutor. If you are a past student or do not have a College Tutor you can apply through the Senior Tutors Office via this link: https://www.tcd.ie/Senior_Tutor/

How do I request an extension on my assignment deadline?

Should you wish to request an extension on your assignment deadline you can make your application via your College Tutor.

When should I expect to recieve my assessment results and/or feedback?

You should expect to receive your assessment results usually within 20 working days of the assessment. Feedback on your assessment is available via your Blackboard submission once results have been published. Learning from coursework & examination feedback is seen as an important part of a student’s ongoing academic, professional and personal development. As such, you are advised to incorporate this feedback into your continuing development throughout the course.

Please note all results published throughout the year are provisional until ratified at the Court of Examiners.

I am unable to access my TCD email account or an having issues with my TCD email account?

Web and email queries can be submitted at any time but will be replied to only within normal phones hours, or the following working day if sent outside of normal hours.

Queries at the walk-in service are dealt in strict rotation; take a ticket from the dispenser in the Áras an Phiarsaigh (AAP) lobby and wait in the lobby until your number is displayed on the screens overhead.

Please note that all technical or support queries should be addressed only to the IT Services Helpdesk, and be aware of the Helpdesk opening hours when attempting to contact IT Services.

Who should I contact should I wish to take time out of College or withdraw from the programme?

Should you wish to take a year out from the programme (go Off Books) or withdraw from the programme, you should contact your College Tutor in the first instance.

If I am experiencing academic or person difficulties what should I do?

Can I choose the hospital where I will complete my clinical placement?

When you receive your course offer you are asked to choose your preferred hospital, hospital places are given on a first come first serve basis.

When will I begin my clinical skills training?

Clinical skills training begin within the first semester of your Junior Freshman (1st Year). Mop up sessions are also available to students, at their own expense, who are unable to make the scheduled sessions.

What prizes are available in the School Nursing and Midwifery?

There are a number of prizes available to School of Nursing and Midwifery students: details of these prizes can be found on page 29 of the Undergraduate Course Handbook

How can I get my results online?

You can view your results on the MyTCD Portal, via the Academic History option.

No, Trinity has a very strict policy on this and cannot accept any application past the 12 noon deadline (Irish time) on the closing date.
