Research Ethical Approval

The School of Nursing and Midwifery Research Ethics Committee (SNMREC) is a granting ethics committee for "low risk projects" carried out by the School's staff and students. This ethics committee works in co-ordination with the Faculty of Health Sciences Research Ethics Committee (FREC). Students and researchers should review the diagram below before selecting the appropriate committee or mode of application.

Applicants who select the incorrect pathway are at risk of experiencing significant delays in their ethical approval.
