Minister McEntee launches report on The Impact of Peer-Led Mental Health Services in the Community on 7th December 2016 at the School of Nursing and Midwifery
The research into the impact of peer-led mental health projects in the community was led by a team from the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Trinity College Dublin and spearheaded by Mental Health Ireland in partnership with the HSE Mental Health Division.

On 30th November 2016, Professor Cecily Begley attended a gathering at the EU Parliament with Professor Sandra Morano, Genoa, Italy and Dr Ramon Escuriet Peiró, Delivery Program Coordinator for The General Health Planning Department, Spain
The occasion was the launch of Prof Moranos book - Who is afraid of maternity? and the closure of the FP-7-funded European OptiBIRTH project, led by Prof Begley. The OptiBIRTH study finishes at the end of February, 2017, and Prof Begley gave a presentation to the delegates on the initial findings.

Staff and 3rd year Nursing Students have been involved with the Community Design Challenge – a project run by Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) and Enable Ireland.
The resulting designs from this project, many of which involved the input of Trinity College Nursing Students are currently on display at Collins Barracks Museum.

Study Raises Concerns For Young LGBTI
The LGBTIReland Report, one of the largest national studies of mental health and wellbeing of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people, has just been launched. The study was undertaken by a team led by Professor in Mental Health from the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Agnes Higgins and is one of the largest of its kind.
