We are delighted to offer students and researchers the opportunity to apply for bursaries for THEconf2020. Successful applicants will receive complimentary registration for the two days of the conference and attendance at the conference dinner.

Submission deadline for some applications extended to 12 midday on Monday 20 January 2020.

We are delighted to offer you the opportunity to apply for a student bursary to attend the Trinity Health and Education International Research Conference (THEconf2020) on 4 and 5 March 2020. The conference is run by the School of Nursing and Midwifery and will be held in our building on D’Olier Street.

Attending conferences is a great way to hear and meet experts in your field, presenting cutting edge research and the latest innovations in practice. It is a unique opportunity to network with your peers, exchange knowledge on a personal level and can have a positive and lasting impact on your career.

EIT Health (www.eithealth.eu/) are sponsoring ten student bursaries for the conference and the winners will be awarded full registration for both days of the conference including the conference dinner on Wednesday evening in the Dining Hall, Trinity College Dublin. At the dinner you will have the opportunity to meet with academic staff, keynote speakers and other delegates.

There are three additional bursaries available which include conference registration, a ticket to the conference dinner, and a contribution to your travel costs, if you live at least 80kms from Dublin or outside of Ireland.

To be eligible to apply you must be a registered M.Sc. or Ph.D. student.

To apply for the bursary:

  • submit a 200-300 word summary of an innovative and novel product or service you would develop to improve societal health focussing on one of the following areas: 
    • Integrated healthcare: developing person-centred health systems
    • Maternal, child and family health;
    • Healthy ageing and intellectual disability;
    • Health innovation and integration: including  clinical practice, patient and public involvement in research (PPI), digital health, population health;
    • Mental health and recovery.
  • your application should be on a Word document;
  • include your name, the HEI that you are registered with, the programme / course you are registered for and your student number;
  • email the document to THEconference@tcd.ie;
  • closing date for submission is extended to 12 midday on Monday 20 January 2020.

The winners of the bursaries will be required to attend an EIT Health information session which will be held during the conference (please refer to conference programme for time) and sign up to the EIT Health mailing list to ensure you can be kept up-to-date on upcoming opportunities and projects you can collaborate on. This is a wonderful opportunity and we would encourage you to consider applying. Successful applicants can include that they are recipients of a competitively awarded bursary on both their CV and in their portfolio.

It’s an exciting programme for 2020 with many international speakers.

  • Health innovation and integration: including clinical practice, patient and public involvement in research (PPI), digital health, population health;
  • Mental health and recovery.

  • include your name and the HSE area / service that you are working within;
  • email the document to THEconference@tcd.ie;
  • closing date for submission is 12 midday on Monday 20 January 2020.

The recipients of the bursaries will be required to attend an EIT Health information session which will be held during the conference (please refer to conference programme) and sign up to the EIT Health mailing list to ensure you can be kept up-to-date on upcoming opportunities and projects you can collaborate on. Student bursaries sponsored by St Patrick's Mental Health Services for TCD School of Nursing and Midwifery undergraduate mental health students

We are delighted to offer you the opportunity to apply for a student bursary to attend the Trinity Health and Education International Research Conference (THEconf2020) on 4 and 5 March 2020. Attending conferences is a great way to hear and meet experts in your field, presenting cutting edge research and the latest innovations in practice. It is a unique opportunity to network with your peers and exchange knowledge on a personal level and can have a positive and lasting impact on your career.

St Patrick’s Mental Health Services (www.stpatricks.ie) is sponsoring five student bursaries for the conference and the winners will be awarded full registration for both days of the conference, including the conference dinner on Wednesday evening in the Dining Hall, Trinity College Dublin. At the dinner you will have the opportunity to meet with academic staff, keynote speakers and other delegates.

To be eligible to apply you must be a Trinity College School of Nursing and Midwifery BSc Nursing student (mental health).

To apply for the bursary:

  • submit a 200-300 word essay focussing on mental health and wellness, ideally with a focus on service user inclusion in service planning and delivery;
  • your application should be on a Word document and include your name and TCD student number;
  • email the document toTHEconference@tcd.ie;
  • closing date for submission is extended to 12 midday on Monday 20 January 2020.

The winners of the bursaries will be required to meet with the team from St Patrick’s Mental Health Services at the conference. Following the conference, a visit to St Patrick’s Mental Health Services may be arranged so you can meet their team and see first-hand the services offered. This is a wonderful opportunity and we would encourage you to consider applying. Successful applicants can include that they are recipients of a competitively awarded bursary on both their CV and in their portfolio.
