We are aware in the School that the period of assessment can be an anxious one for many students. This is likely to be the case especially this year. Please access the support of your Tutor (undergraduate students) and College services (undergraduate and postgraduate students) if needed. Following the Government’s decision on 12 March to close Colleges until March 29, now EXTENDED TO 5th MAY 2020
GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCEMENT: From Thursday 12 March the campus will be closed from 6PM until 5th May. Please note that online teaching will continue.
Following the announcement that one of our Health Sciences students has tested positive for #COVIDー19. We ask that all Health Sciences students monitor emails and course announcements through Blackboard.
In light of the appearance of patients with COVID19 in our partner hospitals and the likely increase in such patients over the coming weeks we have decided after consultation to temporarily withdraw our students on placement until we can perform a fuller evaluation of risk for each placement location in association with our clinical colleagues. Supernumerary Undergraduate students only withdrawn from placement with immediate effect. Interns and Postgraduate are hospital staff and have to report as normal as per hospital direction.
Lectures will be delivered over Blackboard from week starting Monday 16 March. The next few days will be used to make the preparations to begin delivering your courses on line. You should check Blackboard from Monday 16 March for further instructions. Tutorials, seminars and laboratory practicals will all continue to be given in the usual fashion until further notice.
