Ethics
The School of Nursing and Midwifery Research Ethics Committee (SNMREC) is a granting ethics committee for "no-low risk projects" carried out by the School's staff and students. This ethics committee works in co-ordination with the Faculty of Health Sciences Research Ethics Committee (FREC). Students and researchers should review the diagram and the Operating Procedures document below before selecting the appropriate committee or mode of application.
Applicants who select the incorrect pathway are at risk of experiencing significant delays in their ethical approval.
Please note: Researchers and students must not apply to FREC if their project falls under the remit of the SNMREC.
